Best Asian Food in Barcelona

jlentz24

Barcelona is a melting pot of cultures. I often find myself speaking Chinese more than Spanish (mainly because I am more comfortable in Mandarin and tend to seek out the community). Regardless, Barcelona’s culinary scene is quite diverse with some top-notch Asian restaurants. Check out our favorite spots to enjoy authentic Asian cuisine in Barcelona.

Asian restaurants in Barcelona with a picture of lanzhou noodles

Jin Lanzhou Noodles

If you are looking for an excellent meal at a good price, head to Jin Lanzhou Noodles. They opened in 2024 and have been rocking ever since. You can watch the chef’s cut and throw noodles in the kitchen. They offer a QR code to order in Catalan, Spanish, English or Chinese. I love their meal combos, which offer a noodle bowl and drink for €11. I also love that they are open from noon to 11 pm, with no break in early evening (like other local restaurants), so if you are hungry at 5 pm, head for Lanzhou ramen!

Location: C. de Calabria, 110, Barcelona, 08015

Average Price Point: €10-€20 per person

What to Order: their signature Lanzhou beef noodles (you can choose your noodle width & spice level) and the lamb skewers

Uniko

I stumbled upon this spot in my neighborhood. It’s a small spot filled with locals. I was immediately impressed by their soup dumplings. They offer various dumplings and dim sum options, along with noodles and veggie dishes. Reservations are accepted and generally recommended for dinner. They are open from 1 pm to 4:30 pm and again from 8 pm to close. They are closed on Tuesdays.

Location: Carrer de los Castillejos, 208, Barcelona, 08013

Average Price Point: €15-€25 per person

What to Order: The amazing soup dumplings and Sichuan eggplant dish

Pho Hanoi

This Vietnamese restaurant gets full quickly. They offer a great lunch “menu del dia” with drink and dessert included. I love their flavorful pho with beef and Vietnamese coffee. The prawn curry and bun bo hue are also great. They are open from 1 to 5 pm for lunch and dinner from 7:30 pm to 11 pm.

Location: Calle de la Diputació, 218, Barcelona, 08011

Average Price Point: €10-€20 per person

What to Order: The rare beef pho or mango salad

hot pot at ShudaXia - one of the best asian restaurants in Barcelona

ShuDaXia Hot Pot

If you’ve never had hot pot, you are in for a treat. Hot Pot is meant to be shared in a group, so I recommend at least 4 people to enjoy variety. You can select up to three broths, from mushroom, chicken and the traditional spicy Sichuan. Next select your meats and veggies. They offer a meat sampler, that comes with lamb, beef and pork (all amazing). Finally choose your veggies. My favorites are cabbage, lotus root, potatoes, mushrooms and corn. If you are feeling adventurous, they also offer chicken gizzards, beef tongue, tripe and more. While you wait for the food, head to the sauce bar to create your own bowl. For an authentic meal, use the sesame sauce!

Location: Calle De Muntaner 102, Barcelona, 08036

Average Price Point: €20-€30 per person

What to Order: Pick your broth (up to 3, but I recommend one be the traditional spicy Sichuan broth) to create your own hot pot. Select your own meats and veggies before creating your custom sauce.

Thai Tuk Tuk

Don’t be fooled by the outside, this tucked away Thai restaurant is amazing. The food is fresh with traditional seasonings and spice. I come for their green curry, but the Thai tea is also not to be missed. The menu is in English and Spanish and the staff speak both.

Location: C/ del Comte Borrell, 188, Barcelona, 08029

Average Price Point: €15-€25 per person

What to Order: The Pad Thai or green curry with pork; you can select your level of heat too.

Seoul Nadri

Stop into this Korean restaurant for the dolsot bibimbap or grab a few friends and grill your own Korean BBQ. While their menu is somewhat limited, what they offer is tasty. The staff is also friendly, though some reviews say when the owner is away service suffers. They are closed Monday and Tuesday, but open for lunch other days from 1 to 4:30 pm with dinner service starting at 7:30 pm. Reservations are recommended for dinner.

Location: C/ de Roger de Llúria, 24, Barcelona, 08010

Average Price Point: €20-€30 per person

What to Order: Try the Korean BBQ or traditional bibimbap

Petit Bangkok

This cute Thai restaurant has colorful décor and even upstairs seating. They offer lots of great appetizers to share from chicken satay to shrimp spring rolls. The plates are well portioned with fresh ingredients. Best to make a reservation, but service is fast and efficient. Open from 1 to 4 pm for lunch (with a lunch menu) and dinner service from 8 to 11 pm. They are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Location: Calle Vallirana, 29, Barcelona, 08006

Average Price Point: €15-€25 per person

What to Order: Chicken satay, mango with sticky rice and yellow curry.

Whether you’re a local or a traveler, these restaurants offer something for every palate and a memorable dining experience. I love Barcelona’s vibrant Asian food scene. Hope you enjoy one (or all) of these amazing restaurants.

About the Author

Hi, I’m Jordan. I’m originally from Destin, Florida, but have lived in Nashville, TN for 10 years. I started this blog in 2022 when I left my career in finance to take an adult gap year… yep, that’s right at 35 years old! Since then I have traveled to 65+ countries, most of the time solo. I lived in China for 4 years and have backpacked around the world. I like to stretch my budget for things like good meals and scuba diving, but ultimately the local experience is what drives me to explore. I love meeting new people and learning about other cultures, traditions and life lessons. Thanks for being here!
